So for a few days now, my mouse had a drift. It would drift from where ever it was, to either the top or the bottom of the screen. Thankfully I have a wacom tablet, so when it did it I could just use the pen and the mouse became semi-usable, but it was still insanely frustrating. so after researching for a long time, I find out this is a common problem, specifically for a few different kinds of laptops, including my dell Inspiron 8200. Turns out the little nub mouse (otherwise known as a clit mouse), the mouse in the middle of the keyboard, is broken. Great, never understood why anyone would use that piece of shit anyway, sounds like an easy fix. It wasn't. I had to comb for hours through forum posts, blog posts, even blog post replies to find the answer. anyway, too get to the point, I finally found the solution, which made me feel really badass and computer savvy.

Now I feel stupid for writing out this bullshit, becouse since I have no flash videos so no one will ever see this, and truthfully I wouldn't really want them to if they could. well there goes my ego high.

I'm going to start up a Photo of the week contest in the art forum, and I'm trying to get some ideas for the first one. each week will have a theme, and any photos to do with that theme will be accepted. here are the rules so far:

-only new photo's (I was trying to decide whether to have this, but it would be to easy to apply a old picture to any given theme.)
-take your time with your shots, no blurry photos. (unless of course theres an artistic reason for it)
-explain how your photo is relevant to the theme. If you feel its self-explanatory, say so, and I'll say something if I don't believe so.
-only one entry per user.
-you may tweek the brightness and contrast ect, but photoshoping is limited to this.

I'm hoping for these pictures to range from set up shots with models, to spontaneous shots. the winner will choose the theme and make the next weeks thread, and the winners will be chosen by a vote.

so yeah, please tell me If you have any Ideas, such as for the rules, or as far as themes. thanks!
